Abstract

Peer-Reviewed Open Access

This study explores the relationship between life satisfaction and socio-economic status (SES) among higher secondary students. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected from 300 students across various schools through structured questionnaires measuring life satisfaction and socio-economic indicators. The findings reveal a significant low positive correlation between SES and life satisfaction, suggesting that students from higher socio-economic backgrounds report greater levels of well-being. Factors such as parental education, income level and access to resources were identified as key contributors. The study underscores the importance of socio-economic factors in shaping adolescents' subjective well-being and highlights the need for targeted interventions to support students from lower SES backgrounds to enhance their life satisfaction.
