Psycho-Social Adjustment of Prospective Teachers: A 21st Century Perspective

A crucial aspect of teacher preparation is helping aspiring educators adjust psychologically, especially in light of the 21st century's fast shifting educational environment. Future teachers must be able to adapt emotionally, socially, and psychologically in order to succeed both personally and professionally as they deal with more complex challenges like cultural diversity, technological integration, and changing pedagogical demands. In light of continuous educational reforms, this study examines the major elements affecting the psychosocial adjustment of aspiring teachers today, such as emotional resilience, social intelligence, stress management, work-life balance, and flexibility. The importance of peer interactions and mentorship programmes in creating a pleasant psychosocial environment is also emphasized. The ultimately highlight the necessity of thorough teacher preparation programmes that prioritize students' emotional and psychological health in addition to instructional competencies, thereby equipping them to handle the demands and challenges of the contemporary educational environment.
